I'm getting plans ready to go skiing and wondered if any of you were hitting the slopes this winter?
If so, where's your favorite place to ski?
Mine favorite is Killington in Vermont, USA
(although I've never been to Vail in colorado which is bigger and I've never skied in the Alps which must be amazing).
I'd like to go snowboarding this winter. Though I doubt it. Need to save money:(

Is it true that the first time you try it, you end up spending most of the day sitting in the snow?
I've gotten the opportunity to go skiing twice but I've yet to take it... I like drinking hot chocolate or coffee in lounges instead of the actual skiing. I've got this strange little fear of flying into a tree... (I guess it's just not something you think about when you're used to it ^_^)

I haven't been skiing since '92, when I went on a school trip to La Plagne in France
I dislocated my hip and got snow blindess BUT it was loads of fun
