I think they limit the backup to seven days to save on resources and cut costs. However, it would have been much better if they also offered the 30 day option even if it's at a premium price.
When choosing a web host you should really consider how quick and effective their customer service is. It makes a ton of difference according to my experience.
I have seen some sites show up a pop message asking the user to disable adblocker and reload. Not sure if that would be a viable solution in this case though.
