The family iMac has 80GB internal, plus 2 externals (80GB and a 256GB)...

I like having a laptop so you can have it on your lap wherever you go...
But if you only use it at work or something, desktops win.
However, I voted laptop because I am always on my iBook when the family iMac is often free...

I think you either need to have it completely clean and take out the grey borders separating content from menus or go the other way and add a few more graphics, more colour, etc.
It all depends on the site and the content...
If you can get a liquid layout to work well, go with it.
If not, or if you'r laze, there is no problem going for fixed. :)
