  • Maybe it will bring some old members back! :)
  • I think the top two forum programs around are vBulletin and phpBB. They are both very good. I voted "yes" to change to vBulletin. The reason is that a program like vB, since it is purchased and not free, reflects upon the professionalis…
  • (Quote) Maybe announcemants can't be spelled correctly? Or is that announcememts? Anouncements? Annowncements? Announcements?
  • XP Pro on 2 PCs........and Windows 98SE on the old computer.
  • Good luck with your sale, Python!
  • IMO, the PM quick reply isn't all that great, basically because I don't get that many PMs that I need to quick reply. However, a quick reply with the messge quoted in it might be really nice.
  • I think we've hijacked this thread with CafePress! :P Maybe the mods/admin will split it into a discussion about them. 24 June 2003 was their revision date, but I don't know the reason as to the why, except they may have been updated. My point a…
  • How you doing, Tony? Nice meeting you.

  • If I didn't want many advertisements, I'd keep the price high, too. So they may not be too high. Then again, for starting out and since the advertising is only for a month, it may be best to lower the prices so that more members can get in an ad.

  • Those coders! Check out the attached. LoL! Good point Chroder.
  • Try running Ad-Aware or SpyBot S&D. Afterwards, you may want to run HijackThis!. Caution: Using the fix feature on HijackThis! without knowing what to fix can cause severe problems. Most of the listings are harmless and necessary. It sounds …
  • It will take time. Keep up the advertising! :)
  • I think you have a well-thought-out plan for your staff's payments. Good job.
  • Those blasted thread hijackers! LoL!!! No, I meant do you have a site advertising your services?
  • Hey Yoxo, How's it going? Welcome.
  • Since it is Spam, and it is Test, and holds no meaning to life (just threw that in), then why not delete it after a while. I wouldn't suggest 7 days because that seems too quick. Maybe try it on a monthly basis. If it starts filling up too much, …
  • The biggest problem is using AOL!! Okay, now that we've downed all the bad stuff, what was the question? Oh yeah, I'd suggest downloading the latest version of IE. I don't know the purpose of the restore, but if IE was working at that t…
  • This site used to have gaming articles that could be reprinted. I'm think the permissions are from Ziff Davis. There are others, but I just can't remember the sites.
  • ^--- I agree with that. It seems it may be a lost cause for a couple of reasons, one being that the car manufacturer has more money than those that complain. Another being that this is common practice with a lot of vehicles.
  • What's the url of your site?
  • ^---- I don't know what that has to do with this thread. Glad you got rid of that extra _blank. I don't think most users like going to sites where their internal links open new windows.
  • I really doubt that it's an insult. In reality, shortening words may help the inexperience typist in chats, but it does nothing when the word is completely changed. It takes effort on the part of the typist, and more effort on the part of the read…

  • (Quote) In my experience with CafePress and the Personal shop, it is all free. There are no quotas on anything. However, they do have a Premium shop that has a monthly charge.
  • I usually suggest to people that links (on the index page) that go to other sites open in a new window. That way, your site is still open after the visit the other site. I think that's a good practice.
  • So I should probably not say anything in this thread 'cause that will prove that I've been in here. It's like that with any forum. You'll always find that the general/off topic forum is the fullest. It's good in a way for members to get t…
  • Hi TNT, Seems like you may know a few over here, huh? Nice meeting you.

  • IMO, it would depend on what the site is used for. If it's my site about html, using a template would not give credibility to the site. If it's a site for conducting some business other than webmastering, then I'd definitely consider it if there w…
