I guess I'm just happy to see one of my projects work so well (on it's own). It has been a very cool dev experiment. I'm starting to compile some interesting stats in order to break down what colors and patterns people find more appealing. I'll let …
I cannot believe it but I have kept #1 this whole time and am even moving up in other much broader keywords: "forum signature" and "forum signatures{@}
If you do, please make it support images in forum signatures. It drives me crazy that phpbb does not do that. i mean it would not be hard for them to at all and they could easily implement an option to turn it off. DinoSIG would love you for it :D
I like vB the best but it's not free like phpBB so when I install a forum I go for the freebie. It's still a good forum software.
Another big thing for me is that phpBB does not support images in the signature and so people who use phpbb cannot use…
thanks guys.
my closest competetor will be pissed when they find this out.
EDIT: well it turns out those guys got themselves banned from google listings probably by using sketchy SEO tricks.
just added a quickie
now it tracks how many times someone has clicked your signature and totals it in the stats box on the dinosig page.
note to dinosig users: there is a new code to use for your sig. not updating will still let your sig work but …
cbg: those are good ideas which I will def look to incorporate.
daboss: yeah thats in the works. it's a hard balance to achieve though (between seeing the backgrounds and seeing the text. I've been working on ideas for a solution to this for a litt…
thanks. it's really cool to see it come along. it kinda just runs itself.
i had stopped working on it for a while and within a month the user base had doubled. i wonder how big it would get it i left it alone for a year and then came back.
i did so…
yeah it's pretty green. I'll be fixing that eventually. It's hard to find the right color combination sometimes.
As for the forum, I'll see about maybe doing a border.
Any other feedback?
BTW python, the vbulletin post box that I'm typing this in…
Looks like you just copied and pasted the same table over and over again to get that effect. I viewed the source and if that's not what you did, you wasted a lot of time for nothing. copy and paste!
it's a lot of strong use of keywords/phrases and connecting with other sites with established PRs. also i have a really good viral pr scheme with dinosig.
I'm going to be launching 2 (possibly 3 depending on how one develops) new sites into my netw…
Up to 49 different sig backgrounds!
Also, news system has been updated and users can now reply to news posts. If anyone has been testing out the site, please feel free to test the news reply system. Thanks :)

OK I got to the bottom of it. There was a bug where it didn't complete the login process completely. Try creating an account again and it will now work. Thanks for finding that problem for me :)
it should have given you an id number. what email address did you sign up under? you dont need to post the whole thing here, just whatever your email address is before the @ sign and I'll figure it out.
Ok fixed directory viewing. Didn't go the htaccess route but thats because I'm lazy ;)
It now redirects back to the main page on any attempt to view the sites directories.
I'll have the user CP more oganized in a jif
Yeah, im gonna set an htaccess on directory listing for a few dirs on the site and subdivide out the user preferences to clean up the control panel. Thats next up on the list. I have a bulleted up list of categories and subcategories to work on and …
the effect I think you want as far as the rough effect can be done in photoshop with the pointilize filter run on a gradient rectangle. if this is confusing I can explain further
I've started adding more graphically pleasing background sigs. I will be adding support for a compact version of the sigs soon for people who want something smaller. You can see a preview of the compact version on the dinosig home page: here
