Tell the truth? I think the current skin sucks big time. I like the default skin very much better.

All this large amounts of bandwidth and disk space is actually contingent upon members not using up the purchased limits. If everyone does, the host will break. :)

The fact the ASP support is more expensive is not due to the fact the it's less common - it's because ASP runs on IIS that runs on Windows that costs money.
Apache, Linux, PHP is open source and free.
