from what ive read it seems that MSN is more about on page optimisation where as google is about off page...but i mgiht be wrong on that
i used to use vb i might be able to help but im not really a vb programmer just something i did at college, you could check out extreme vb forums (forgot the URL)
there are some sites that let you use their tools on your site if you leave the link to their site on it, forgot what the sites are but ill dig them out
