playing music

Hi, i know this should go in programming but havnt got a clue which language it is, ill move it there if i get an answer.

I have a link and want it to point to a music file (mp3) what code should i use?

also im nto 100% sure if ill be putting it in the webspace i got with my site or if ill put it on seperate space i have that i dont use at the minute, (im not sure if this matters or not)

html believe it or not. LoL. Its a basic html link, but it points to the file itself.

That will just make a link to a halo 2 movie, and download it if your comp doesnt have quicktime.
