Updates on DinoSIG

Hey guys, just figured I'd let you know how DinoSIG si coming.

We've got 85 users now, over 77,000 sig views and I just added 8 more sig styles. also those of you that use dinosig may have noticed the ranking system for # of hits.

I have not gotten support in for custom (upload your own) backgrounds yet but that's next up.

Also if anyone has things they'd like added to the service, let me know. I'm gonna start making them more dynamic and customizable.

I had an idea to add pets. kinda like those tamagatchi things that came out back in the day but somehow geekied up. just an idea.

anyway, to those of you using dinosig, thanks for supporting it. it's made it worth my time. anyone interested, please feel free to check it out.

thanks. it's really cool to see it come along. it kinda just runs itself.

i had stopped working on it for a while and within a month the user base had doubled. i wonder how big it would get it i left it alone for a year and then came back.
i did some math based on how that's worked out... and probably it would get to 700 users in 1 years time from now and over 1,000,000 hits. thats pretty cool.

I have a few suggestions:
Enable the User to select what info is displayed in their sig...
For example, you can choose whether or not the persons IP is displayed on oyur sig... and whther or not you display your Rank... etc...

Also, you could give the option for users to add some text of their own or a link...

cbg: those are good ideas which I will def look to incorporate.

daboss: yeah thats in the works. it's a hard balance to achieve though (between seeing the backgrounds and seeing the text. I've been working on ideas for a solution to this for a little while.

To make the text clearer... You could put a pale background behind the text only...
Like 20% white or something...

yeah font size looks like a good place to start

just added a quickie

now it tracks how many times someone has clicked your signature and totals it in the stats box on the dinosig page.

note to dinosig users: there is a new code to use for your sig. not updating will still let your sig work but it will not log clicks
