Points and rewards can be good as long as you have something good to exchange the points for. It seems that everyone likes their post counts and high points.

ok. so if i install the points system i will also install the shop. what stuff can i sell in the shop?

i know about the usual things like username glows etc but what else?

I don't like the idea of F$ money/point system. The only way it'd be worth while is to give up something good which costs real money. All this "glow username" and stuff just clutters up I think.

Love the QR though I'll think of what else I'd like, but I think its pretty cool right now

Advertising is something that can be universally sold! 8) Like a certain amount of points (or rewards, whatever) could be used to get a bottom banner ad for a month, or a sponsorship of a forum for some amount of time, text links, etc.

And maybe a small DVD/TV combo for about 1,000,000,000 points. :shock: I even like t-shirts with the logo, but I think I would cafe press for that.

I'd go for the shop if there was adverts or T-shirts in there! Just most of the predefined stuff it comes with is junk

if i do set up the shop then yes, i will sell advertising space and things alike. also stuff like hosting and if anyone was interested, a dev dreams subdomain, lol

if your wondering why your avatar, signature and title isnt showing - its because you havent payed for the privelage to use them in the shop! they dont cost much. only 30 dollars.

Yeah rally, that's a good idea.

How about selling links as well.

I pay for them all the time. If I could get links for using a forum, that would be great. The only problem is that you need to build up a PR for it to be of any use

hes looked over phpbbhacks.com, well i have for him. you see hes my mate and he was over my house.

we did find some simple rpg mods but they werent what we were looking for. he wants a phpbb version of www.ffx-2.com (i think thats the site)

i dont mean the vb skin. i mean the rpg mod theyve got installed there. i did see someone mention that they had converted it over to phpbb but he says that he isnt gaiving it out quite yet

yeah it is possible i suppose. but is is really good and seems as if it could also have been released as a mod. i could use vbulletin(would have to pay a lot) and use the vb mod for it but its not available for phpbb which sucks, lol
