New Navigation Bar

I have added a new navigation bar which is shown on the right hand side of the forum homepage. Do you think that it should stay or was it better without it?

Post your opinions.

It will basically contain content such as latest news, staff information, external syndication and affiliates.

i like it only if the width of the table is increased... as it is, the space available for the forum is too narrow and the word wrapping makes it look a little weird...

I know what ya mean, daboss, but I would dislike it more if the whole site was widened as I will from now on be visiting DD on my 12" iBook... where the site is already verging on full screen width, which is a bummer with MSN, iTunes, etc open too.

I know, I was blown over too... and that aint easy... I'm not exactly a lightweight... I used to be a hooker in the rugby team... lol


anyway, i don't think it should stay... it's nice, but I know i wont use it and it does cramp everything up

i think it shoudl stay but there is a lot of room down the sides where you could expand the tables to make things fit a bit better

yes the fitting needs to be altered a bit to make it work better and yes more content would need to go down the side

As it is, nothing in the bar right now is of any interest to me at all.
Except MAYBE the news, but instead, you could have a little horizontal scrolling bar at the top of the hompage telling us the main headline and giving a link etc...

good decision, p.

most of the other big sites have one - but their fonts, etc. are much smaller and their table width is wider (cbg won't like it though) and they have a custom designed skin for it - so it doesn't look so cluttered.

What I do like however, is pretty much everything about my iBook... :P
