Anyone have an SDK?

Alright well im going back into game programming and i need an SDK from microsoft but the damn thing is friggin like 158mb and im on 56k . So anyways im not sure if i dl the "updates" or what, i go to microsoft and it says Microsoft SDK 9 update which im assuming is the new SDK they have and comes with a update for Direct X 9 so thats sounds good. Is this wat i need? anyone know? i hope the new game programming book i buy has the SDK on the cd

lol yeah, i was gonna explain it but i got lazy lol SDK is a software development kit which you use to well make games and stuff. I think they have something similar for making console games and stuff but you have yo pay for those maybe? Anyways i need to start with computer games and i need an SDK now! lol

lmao, well i saw that as well and didnt think much of it. seems like an alternative to actual C++ game coding and direct X, seems like a program youd use if you were lazy or something.

i think the "update" is only for upgrading ther development suite
