Any experience with Music Sites?

I'm strongly condsidering starting a music site. It would be mainly a news site covering rock...most likely: punk, emo, indie, hardcore.
I'm also thinking about having a section for new bands to spread the word.
I know someone here has a House site...

Has anyone else tried this?
Or tried a music site at all?

Please share any hints/tips

My brother is a trance DJ and I made a site for him... it was all about him though so not really a music site

I also created a site for two other dj's a while back..(i got a free copy of their music)

I have 1. its about mostly hip hop news and rumors and stuff. People wana here stuff about celebs and whats going on and get to know when new releases are and so on. I think its a great idea. The forum has about 1300 members so far and we get about 50 k page hits a day which ads to about 150 ad clicks on google which translates to about 40-50 bucks a day which means as a teenager still I dont have a bad job lol.. I would say go for it !!
