in javascript whats the code so that a link can take someone to the prviously viewed page?

its something like

[code:1:5b1ba99c2d]javascript:back(-1)[/code:1:5b1ba99c2d]

but im not sure and am probably wrong.

-2 will take you back two
-3 will take you back three etc...
