Mod rewrite help

I want to mod rewrite the URL's at that site so that they are more search engine friendly.


The current URL layout is:
http://www.freewebmasterresources.net/index.php?cat=PHP&t=The Basics Of IF Statements


Id like to convert the above to the following:
http://www.freewebmasterresources.net/PHP/The Basics Of IF Statements

Anyone able to help?

I can help to see what I can do go to the directory I did http://www.robo-hosting.com/dir/ is that the type of mod_Rewrite you mean ?

I followed your instructions on how to convert from mp3 to wma files, however, when I was in the process of converting, each time I do, theres an error. And I didnt miss a step according to your suggestions
