I can't see much use for the "Quick Menu" myself, but I'm sure you know what it's for
The yellow "Its that time again" could maybe be a less plain font?
And, I trust you will add some kind of roll-over affect on the left van bar...
Otherwise, Nice. I like it.

Ya I'm not sure if I'll keep the quick menu in the final version.

The yellow font you see is actually part of an ad I got off another site for a Battle of the Bands affiliated with Vans Warped Tour.

And of coarse I'll use rollover effects!

Looks good but yeah Quick menu isnt necessary.

I agree. the quick menu I think makes it look 'not right'.

Also im not too sure about the background... Personally i dont like gradient background unless their fairly hard to notice but the main problem i think is that there are lines where you can see the colour changing.

Ya that gradient looks funny becuase its low quality for space/loading time reasons.

i think the gradient background looks cool. however, the fonts in the menu should be changed - somehow it doesn't seem to fit the site...
