ye change the colours. too much gray. i like the main design and layout of it. looks profesisonal. also like the top bar code image.

phpBB does have several skins that are very nice looking.

yes that is true. but i think that chroder is trying to get at the fact that the colours are kinda like the standard skin - subsliver. i dont really think they are but maybe he does

I'm talkin' about the forum, not the site.

I mean, you've done quite a bit and it doesn't look like the phpBB, but the link colors and images etc. need to be switched up I think -- to give DevDreams a unique identity of its own.

ahh rite i see. yes i am planning on changing things like the post and topic images. they were going to be changed before the site was officially launched but i couldnt find any tidy ones so i now have to make some 8)

Just a thought, but the bar code as used on the portal would make for some interesting buttons. If you make the banner at top similar to the bar code with the letters underneath, that would start the barcode theme.

just in case you havent noticed. ive just added a little menu beneath the header of the image on this forum! now you can get to features of the site quicker!

if you kinda wanna get away from the phpbb look theres a theme called phpbb portal or sumthin like that...

nah i dont want to use any sort of portal or cms or anything like that. i prefer to actually build the site myself instead of browsing the net for a theme

i could set up an archive for this forum which is all done in html and is designed to make it easier for search engines to get to the posts. that should increase the chance of getting higher ranks

its a nice site , waituntil its more well known and webers are dropping in all the time, my opinion is that it could use some tweaks here and there,
and maybe something that the other webmaster forumsdont have such as a validator or something
