A contest eh? And with prizes I wouldn't actually mind winning.

    I'll write a couple.

The only formatting we get is bbcode? No HTML allowed?

Also, can we see what we're up against? Is every piece of content already eligible, or only the new ones?

Chroder you should stop by more often.

Ok... I will extend the lenght of the link placed on the index of this site to two months :)

You are up against what is already on the site... Take a look at the following:

    http://www.devdreams.com/tutorials
    http://www.devdreams.com/articles

And yes only bb code can be used - no html.

    Thanks for submitting :)

And we sure are glad you do post - You tend to clear things up and get people out of the stage of being confused (well me mainly).

Anyway good luck in the competition

Once we submit something, do you take ownership of it? Can we submit it anywhere else? Can we use it on our own sites?

Upon submission you are giving me the right to publish it online and use it how I please. You will however get recognition for writing it.
And no it cannot be used anywhere - It must be exclusive to DevDreams.

Read the few rules at http://www.devdreams.com/competition :)
