Get some backlinks from other related sites that have a high PR.

You could buy it (have your link placed on someone's site by paying them for it.)

It's as simple as that.

well theres the problem: if u have a rubbish pr then a lot of high pr sites wont like exchange with you. from what youve told me a site cant damage another sites pr by linking to/from it so why dont they want to?

your PR won't be damaged by linking to a site with a lower PR than yours. The problem is trying to convince people that your site has something worth linking to on it.

Why not try putting some information regarding car parts and how to fit them etc...

the content would gather links by itself...

if someone thinks your site has something to offer their visitors, then they will link to it.

how about a FAQ. it could be a html page or you could make it user friendly so people can send in FAQ answers through a script
