Very nice design and loading times were fine. Perhaps on the header, change the gradient to something different. At the moment it looks too similar to the page background. Maybe make it a bit brighter...

I really like the site. I did expect it to be a directory of pixels. Still not sure about the combo with them being tied together, but I think its a nice looking site.
