Logo/Identity: The Building Trust

Hey all,
I'm participating in a Graphics Contest at another forum and here are my entries so far:


After this it was suggested that I try somehting other than the hard-hat.

After this, it was suggested I try a white background.

When I changed the background, I also made some new variations.

I have not had any comments on the last 2 sets as of yet.

Well, what so you guys think?
Which do you like, and why?
How can I improve?

I like the last 2 sets.
All I suggest is that you find better fonts.

I don't really like the inner glow you have on some of them. The beveled drop shadow version looks better.

Also, the one with red inner glow looks jagged around the edge. Could use some cleaning up...

Did you make the buildings? Those are pretty good.

Nothing has an inner glow, iirc. Most of the text has a white satin effect though.

As for the building with a red stroke around it, I just did that as an effect, so can't exactly clean it up.

The buildings are the twin towers, but it could just be any skyscraper.

Hmmm... then is it a grandient overlay with radial? it is a radial form I believe...

As for the stroke being crooked, you can just clean up the edges of the buildings then to make them straight, would make the stroke straight too... You can just use the lasso tool and then delete it.

As for the text, I'm sure it is a satin effect, about 50% white.

The person I was making these for said he wanted me to try something different:
So I came up with some new ideas:



I don't like them near as much, myself, except for the first one which I think has some potential.

Thoughts?

I like the first one there... looks very simple and quite pro looking...

But overall very nice work!
