Alright guys...

I am in desperate need of your help...

I have a friend who owns a Vauxhall Zafira.

There is a known fault with the car that means that the spare wheel can be easily stolen from the car.

Vauxhall know about this fault, yet refuse to do anything about.

You can purchace a locking kit for the wheel at the rediculious cost of. £40.00!

His spare wheel was stolen from his car, which cost him over £100.00 to fix.

We have set up this Vauxhall Zafira web site to try and get Vauxhall to do something about this problem.

hey why dont you post a message like that on my forum the site is getting better since its finished.

locking kit would be the best way. which model is the zafira cause i might be able to help if i know were the spare wheel is.

i'll tell you what if all of us here who wants to help you send vauxhall a complaint about this they might give up and help.

There is no lock on there in the first place. It's a security fault...

Vauxhall know about it but won't do anything...

i live in the usa where if you have a problem with a car taking it to a mechanic makes it worse use a locking bolt on it or something but i agree thats a very obvious oversite

The company have now run out of wheels for that model of car due to the demand... They must be making a fortune!

its better to buy the locking-kit its better than spending £100 on a new spare wheel.

if someone has to use significant FORCE to bend the bracket to get the spare tire off, i don't see that as the Car Makers problem. I understand your frustration, but if i break the car window, pop the trunk and take the tire (about 90 seconds of work), does that mean they should make stronger glass?

Not trying to be an asshole or anything, just giving my opinion.

^--- I agree with that. It seems it may be a lost cause for a couple of reasons, one being that the car manufacturer has more money than those that complain. Another being that this is common practice with a lot of vehicles.
