Thanks to Daniel for this info, apparently wiki.com sold for $3 million.
the new owner also owns adware.com

Where was I when you could still register quality domains like this

I don't think I even knew what a domain name was when names like that were available.

Domains like Download.com About.com etc. make me so jealous that I wasn't pioneering the web boom.(Then again I may have been part of the great www fall back in the day)

It will be interesting to see if he completes the deal. It's six monthly payments of $10,000, then a single payment of $2.8 million.

The other big deal of the week is betandwin.com buying bwin.com, bwin.de and bwin.eu for 800,000 euros!

Granted they are nice domains but 800,000 euros! Holy cow man!

Good! Be careful because many newbie domainers buy a lot of junk domains, but if you get a few good ones, you can really hold onto them and maybe get top dollar.

What is truly upsetting is the domain snipes that go on by headliners. These people sit around and wait for any headliner that has market potential and snag it up in no time at all.

New actors that hit the scene, tragic events, up and comming sports person, you name it they grab it. LOL

I heard that popejohnpaul.com sold for a spank of cash just days after his death.
