Is a Domain Owner's Association Needed?

I had noticed the www.DNOA.org web site (Domain Name Owners Association) and was wondering if you guys thought this kind of organization is needed? Seems like a lobby group for domain owners.
From their site, here's what they offer:

The Domain Name Owners Association is a trade association of domain name buyers, sellers and owners of all types dedicated to the advancement of the domain name industry through the building of trust and professionalism of its members.

The Domain Name Owners Association primary mission is:

To advance professionalism and ethics throughout the domain name industry;

To assist with dispute resolution between Association members and those they do business with, including serving as a consumer protection advocate on behalf of our members in dealing with domain related businesses;

Ehh... We've functioned fine with an Assoc. for so long, I don't think we really need it.
