Hehe - I'm not that fussed.
I know what is the right thing to do - You can choose to ignore a substantial percentage of your audience (Accesibility visitors), and have bloated page code
my websites work on mozilla, and IE im pretty sure they will work on safari and oprah i dont have many other visitors and if i do then they should own atleast 1 of them if not then its no great loss
as for bloated code wats an extra 0.1 seconds
People... I'm sure most of you will remember the argument we had with CaptWinky...
People with disabilities will not appreciate you using tables for your layout.
Plus it's just bad code.
Besides that, CSS is very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very easy to learn and quiker to code than tables...
Another thing wrong with tables is that they arent meant to be used to make layouts and never were.
And I'm pretty sure W3C is going to do something about this. Or the next-gen browsers will
tables are amazingly easy especially in dreamweaver, in my opinion much easier than CSS but i havnt learnt css, once i know both i will give an honest opinion but at the moment it sticks with tables
CSS is very easy in dreamweaver.
and if you are going to learn css u better do it soon, because soon all layouts will need to be made using css.
Yahoo is actually working on a css layout for their new design
Using tables for you layout is bad.
Do not use tabkes for your layout unless you have to. Period.
Basically, tabels were meant to be used as a table to store information...
Do you use tables to layout a Word document?
No. You use them for results from a science experiment or whatever.
And the internet is the same.
Plus. I wasn't talking about DW because I don't use it. (I find it easier to hand code)... And hand-coding tables takes ages with all the <tr>'s and <td>'s and then closing all those etc. And I find it very confusing.
Whereas with Divs and CSS; Its all so simple...
LOL, in the link that f87 posted, it seems that tables are the way to go where accessibility is concerned. What is more amusing is that accessibility as presented in the context of the link that f87 posted has nothing to do with accessibility by the disadvantaged (handicapped) users. It's more to do with standards.
That is really amusing to me - what with the earlier spiff with old captain winky...

that link is pretty helpful.
