Now I just had a quick glance over the amount of topics in each of the categories here at the forum and noticed that General Chat has got over 60.

This is actually a webmaster/developer forum not a hang out place.

Now Im not telling you to all stop posting in general chat but if possible could you try to mainly post in the other areas of the forum.

I just click View All Posts Since Last Visit paying no regard to the forum name but rather the post title.

Anything I think I stand a remote chance of helping with.

So I should probably not say anything in this thread 'cause that will prove that I've been in here.

It's like that with any forum. You'll always find that the general/off topic forum is the fullest. It's good in a way for members to get to know each other, but it's also good to get all the forum going.

Okay, I've said too much here. Must push on to another forum! 8)

it's not the posts he is worried about i think it's the amount of topics that the general chat has.

Still, you don't want to discourage posting in a general forum. This thread basically goes back on itself, 'Don't post in this forum' and 'I'm not telling you not to post' ... I'm kind of confused.

Chroder has more logic than me.

Python, General chat keeps people still active whilest they have no questions or feel like answering none. It also keeps the off-topic banter in a specific forum so less moderation needs to be done.

i suppose you guys are right. its just i think that the forum would look better if more posts were being made in some of the other categories.
