For example, the new version of Microsoft Vista contains advanced features called ?Aero? that demand more than the standard video frame can give.
Your probably aware that Intel is still the leader in the chip market but that as recently as July of this year, AMD bought the #2 graphics card makers, ATI. AMD hopes the synergy of the two companies working together will give it an edge over Intel.
Do you think it will?
Also, has ATI's merger with AMD given it any advantage in regaining dominance of the market for highend gaming components over it's bitter rival nVidia? (Who is currently the leader in PC graphic cards.) If ATI's claims are true, it now has the worlds fastest graphic card, called the Radeon X1950 XTX.
