i like to buy a domain now.

i have a name i realy like, but is only availble in the extension .cc

is that a good extension??

me neither, but one name i like is free.

.cc is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Cocos (Keeling) Islands, an Australian territory.
So in a way, it's the Cocos Islands version of .uk or .nl

Since there is hardley anybody living in the Cocos Islands, it has been marketed for the whole world to use, sort of a "country code for everyone", kind of thing.

The most successful "country code for everyone" is .ws, .ws is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Samoa. They have successfully marketed ".ws" to stand for "WebSite".

I would avoid using ".cc" if I were unless you have to have that particular word. Make it a little longer ".com" or ".eu". Try adding an "e", "i" or word like "web" to the front of it.

i'd steer clear from these weird extensions too. just change the domain name a little so that you can get a .com or .net.

.cc is pretty good, i've seen some websites using .cc domains

what i dont get, they are quit expensive like $18.
so why are they so expensive?

I dunno, maybe the sellers think they are good? but i think they should be cheaper then .com domains at least..
