NuvoForum LeaderVPS - Virtual Prince of the Server
2.53Ghz Intel Celeron D CPU (bad, I know).
256Mb of DDR RAM.
256Mb AGP x8 nVidia GeForce 6600 graphics card.
2x 40Gb Seagate HDD's.
27" widescreen LCD HDTV as a monitor via DVI.
Ubuntu 6.06 "Dapper Drake".
3Mbps broadband via 802.11G WiFi.
Ok, so it's hardly going to match other people's systems, but to be honest, I have a premium 360 with WiFi for gaming (I'm thinking of getting a Wii as well) and I'm not overly brilliant at graphics, so I don't need it to run Photoshop.
It's easily capable of doing what I use it for, partly due to it not running Windows XP these days (web dev, so running WEBrick and Django servers from the terminal, keeping Apache up, keeping mySQL online, running browsers and running source code editors... No WYSIWYG here!).
Why the massive screen on such a low end system?
Simply because it was there (it's my TV for playing on my 360 in 1080i) and it seemed like a good idea at the time (I still have a smaller 15" LCD screen, but it hasn't been used in ages as I'm not too fussed about going back to dual screens like I had under XP).
I'll buy something more powerful (read "20" iMac") when I have more money... Like next year.
PHP, CSS, XHTML, Delphi, Ruby on Rails & more. Current project: CMS Object. Most recent change: Theme support is up and running... So long as I use my theme resource loaders instead of that in the Rails plug-in. Release date: NEVER!!!
