IMO, the PM quick reply isn't all that great, basically because I don't get that many PMs that I need to quick reply. However, a quick reply with the messge quoted in it might be really nice.

you can quote the last message using the current quick reply.

tick the "Quote the last message" box

I think you should install the 'Edit' mod.

(I'm kidding, I know it's a default feature, just want it fixed! :P)

hehe, ill try my best to get it sorted. its kinda hard to look for an error in php when you dont understand it properly, lol

Since phpBB is GPL'd, is this forum running off some sort of custom version you got from somewhere or is it actually phpBB with a new theme?

this forum is the original phpbb 2.0.8 using appalachia theme

Try re-enabling the default SubSilver theme and see if edit works then. Perhaps there's a missing hidden form field or something simple like that.
