I need to come up with some sort of way of promoting this forum further.

Anyone got any ideas or suggestion/possible methods?

Try getting lots of banner or text link exchanges from webmaster related websites. That would probably benefit your SEO and Traffic!

And I'm not sure if you have done this already or not. But you might want to try to make your pages more search engine friendly by using the mod_rewrite plugin for phpbb. This will make your pages end with .html which is beneficial for SEO!
