User groups

What usergroups should there be, if any?

Post your ideas or if you think that there shouldnt be any.

I like the idea of groups, but not as a separation of people, but something for people to strive to achieve since that may help hold their interest in the forum and in helping other people. It depends upon how you look at a group and what the groups are or consist of.

As for suggestions, I'm still trying to think of some for WT.

yeah. well maybe a group for each language such as php, cgi etc. caus ethen there could be a group moderator who would send out monthly news and tutorials or something

Ye... Like one for Flash people, one for general Web Designers. One for PHP'ers, HTML'ers etc.
but then where would I go? I do all those things... lol

anyway.....

you could just sign up to more than one group. you could choose which ones you would be interested in.

for this though we would need one person per group because i havent got the time to send out a monthly email to 12+ groups, lol

yeah ur right. maybe wait until there are more members or just start off with 3 groups?

i don't understand what usergroups do?
can they do anything within their groups, can someone explain

ok well basically usergroups are just little groups which people can join. then an email can be sent out to all of the members of only that group instead of the whole forum.

also im trying to code it so that some usergroups have got more privelages and features than others such as bigger PM storage, etc
