Hah, for me it was at the age of 8 or 9. Course that was just Geocities.
Just this year I'm actually with a host that costs more than 50 dollars for the year, and am getting substantially more serious.

Yeah, when I was in school I started to build sites. I had about 4/5 sites on hotbot and one on geocities.

I really enjoyed making them and have been doing so ever since.

That was never the best way to impress women though.

Maybe I should have concentrated on making more friends in school rather than making websites...

Gotta say though, If I hadn't played around with site design when I was younger, I have no Idea what I would have done when it came to finding a proper job.

I really can't imagine doing anything else...

Maybe a ninja assasin... That would be pretty cool.

Me? I just started last year. I hired a contract web designer to improve the esthetics of one of my projects and somehow got hooked.

I'm doing it for fun. I guess all of us are...

I went for the career option.

Well, I may have been a bit harsh (take our the space and 'ha' and you have the word) about it. It's just I hate that you're doing better than me, and I guess I'm a little jelous.

Then again it's my own fault for not being better than you at all of this; I don't like research, and didn't even learn about such a thing as "not" Geocities 'till 2 years ago. And I don't exactly have a big budget, or means of getting it.

Well, i have my failuers.. Like my login for admin, someone found a way around it, deleted all of my tutorials... Took bout 4 hours to restore everything, and im working on a new login script, Any ideas anyone?

well that depends on how secure you want it....one of my techniques which im going to be implementing into a future site is to use phpbb's login system and make it look as if the forums has nothing to do with it. its really secure then
