Naw, actually, back when I was 8 or 9 me and my brother owned a video game website http://www.maxpages.com/cheatsandhints which I know was hideous, but we didn't know shit about website design or computers--we tried to make music play on the website with the source being A:\Doom.midi
Then a year later we made a cheats website. I bet you can guess the name: TNTCheats. Well, technically http://www.angelfire.com/co/tntcheats (it's not online anymore). It had a sexy lime-green text on black background, and had a nice big banner and ENTER HERE which lead to the cheats. Which just so happened to be Nintendo's cheats section just copied. However, their cheats section was in frames too; I just copied the URL of all of the bottom-frame's URLs and it looked just like they were our own site
So, then in grade 6 I found out through one of my parents' friends kids that there was a place where you could get .com domain names for only 15 dollars. I went off to http://www.directnic.com and after spending about 6 months trying to convince my dad that his credit card number wasn't going to be stolen I had the domain name! However, I hadn't learned much at all since the last site because I never researched webmastering. I never knew where the visitors came from but we managed to get enough to make 45 dollars in 2 months.
However, we were too dumb to keep it registered, and now there's a nice internet marketing scam on there now
Basically, mine is my school nickname...
3 guys in the year above started it... they even had a song along the lnes of "Can't run fast but at least he tries"...
I picked my name when I was very young from a Jim Carrey movie, Pet Detective. He reffered to his member as cptnwinky and when my father asked me what I wanted my Prodigy (yes even before AOL) name to be I boldly proclaimed cptnwinky and my father laughed pretty hard, verified that I really wanted to be known as that and put it in. Ever since its been my screen name.
PM me for small freelance php jobs. I have never been too needy but I lost my job due to the company shutting down our location. I just had a child and live in a pretty depressed area at the moment. I need some freelance work fairly bad.
I just kinda always assumed captain.
Actually, I've never noticed it could possibly be something else.

I kept the name for my screenname though, because I just genuinely liked it. I kept it through http://www.donkeykongracing.com and http://www.xboxadict.com and will probably keep it for years to come.
Well, that's the story of my name. Don't wear it out. [/bad joke]
