but i just dont see the point. I mean using tables makes it 100% valid(if coded properly) and so does your method. it all comes down to preference.

Using tables may be valid but it completely screws over the blind.
Web pages are displayed in weird ways for the disabled and tables should only ever be used when listing stuff just like you would in MS word. If you wouldn't use a table to display the same stuff in word, then don't use tables to display the stuff on a website. :P hehe

in word i hardly ever use tables - i hate them in word...anyway

what exactly do you mean blind? if someone is blind whats the chance of them using a computer thats non brail?
