Hello i own www.freelancers4you.com and was wondering if anyone here on the site knows someone or can get people to join and start using the site. I will offer them X amount of dollers per signup.

Any help in doing something like this would be great.

but you dont have a html area my java is very limited as well as the rest
im a bit sporadic on css as well anyway if you get a html area ill sign up

if you want to get people to join up you are on the right track - offer the visitor something they want. such as giving away money if they sign up is a great way of getting new members.

Ya... man it is fustrating when you get about 70+ unique hits a day and no one uses it... and my forum is the same way lol

But if say 20 webmasters posted there projects at my site www.freelancers4you.com then freelancers would sign up and make money and get the ball rolling but thats the hardest part :eek:

I've signed up and placed bids on 2 projects already. Thanks for the new service. It's nice to find a freelancer site that isn't clogged. Allows me to get in on the ground floor and have a chance of building a good rep.

yeah, the two bids were simple projects so i bumped them to free for good review. thanks for the sugguestion.

I also wouldn't mind doing a little work for you on that site if you could offer me some perks or something. Who knows, just an idea

Actually, it will be avaliable soon. Some features don't work yet and there are a couple bugs that I cannot seem to work out (url parsing). It runs on PHP and MySQL and uses only 1 file (429 lines of code/html) for the entire shebang, so installation is very simple.

The release will be stripped down to a more basic setup, easier to use, graphical display of statistics, etc.

does it do search engine bits aswel? like what people typed in to find your site? and say what search engines/sources they came from?

im trying to find something like awstats that i can install myself because my host wont install awstats

Thats in line for development, but it's not here yet.

You may check this script out. I recently did a logo for these guys as well (not up on their site yet) and found this:

Hey Tony, if you do find out how to get awstats installed, please tell me. I'm stuck with Webalizer too.

i will do, i dont think you can though it has to be the host people that install it on the server

Technically it shouldn't be so since it should only need the raw logs for your domain. But I guess you've done your homework.

Webalizer's a bummer compared to awstats.
