Case modding

PythonPython Forum LeaderThe Royal RAM
Any of you ever tried case modding? This is basically where you take a computer case and modify it.

Im really interested in giving it a go.

When I get my hands on some rubbish case im going to try it out and see what the result is. Just going to do things like cut out's on the side with see through plastic. Then blue lighting around the inner edges with uv paint on some of the inner parts. it should then look really cool in the dark.

Any of you ever tried it or have bought a pre modded case?

I only use laptops. One top-of-the-range one from my employer and a Compaq Presario 2100 at home. I guess there are just no cases for modding...

Yeah, macs look good enough. CBG, you using an iMac? The ones with the round body/casing? They're cool. The older ones aren't that great - but they still beat most PCs hands down.

But they cost significantly more too - I guess you're paying for it.

    Yeah. The G4.
The G3's were cool in their won right.
They stood out and shouted " I'm a MAC!".
The G4 fits in much more to the whole "cool" idea.
    Hell, Its white!
You guys should all check out the New G5 imac.
Imagine your regula flat screen PC. What else do you have with it? The Tower.
The iMac G5 is about half as thick again as a PC flatscreen... but with ouyt the tower.

I'll just assume you have never used a Mac before for 2 reasons.
    1. If you had you would be preaching along with me.
    2. You would be telling everyone else to check out the iMac G5.
If you had used one you would know why so many people use macs.
Okay... so maybe 5% of all computer owners have a Mac... but that is still ONE HELL OF A LOT OF PEOPLE!
More people than you, your brothers, sisters and parents know all added up and multiplied by 10. lol

My mother uses a PC everyday at work.
She uses the mac at home maybe once a month.
yet she can do 100 times as much at home because everything is SO DAMN SIMPLE.
The whole OS is just simple. But it's not babyish. Don't get that idea.
    It's professional AND simple.
Just like any good web design! ;)
But they cost significantly more too - I guess you're paying for it.
    It's a family computer and i'm the son... :P

What I have gathered is that CBG is the world's biggest fan on the MAc and CSS.

Believe me: he's neither the largest CSS fanatic or Mac addict. I've met people who when questioned on why they use a Mac instead of anything else literally screamed at me. I've also seen people who are more CSS fanatical--quite a few actually.

I believe that Cannon Ball Head likes CSS quite a bit, and realizes that it's the future, but isn't as gung-ho on it as someone such as Dan Cedarholm (Simplebits) or Dave Shea (CSS Zesign Garden) or Douglas Bowman (Stopdesign) but he's interested in it--which is realy all that matters.

    CSS is my god.
[edit]should that be is my god or are my god.. Cascading Stylesheets are my god... Cascading Stylesheets is my god... hmm[/edit]
