A few web hosting providers in India have started offering NVMe SSD and claim that the difference being that NVMe is up to 6x faster than SSD.
Like traditional SSDs, NVMe is based on Flash memory. However, PCIe-based SSDs can avoid the SATA interface, which has become a bottleneck. Unlike SATA SSDs, PCIe technology allows NVMe SSDs to work up to 6 times faster, resulting in better read/write bandwidth.
Does anyone has first-hand experience on comparing site and database loading as well as read/write speeds when using NVMe over SSD? Any whether I should spend more rupees for getting NVMe storage VPS or just SSD VPS?
