I have been looking around the forum's and discovered you are talented, knowing PHP, HTNL, CSS and graphic design. Well actually im pretty new to all this, but im looking for someone to help me setup an online community, im not too sure how, but I have wanted for about 2 years, when i looked on another forum last year I saw it costs alot of money to setup a website, therefore I now have a budget of £15,000 to spend on an online commumity, I hope thats enough? Im not a skilled computer man but I love the internet and like looking at websites, Im just a 34 year old Pharmacist at day, Im sure you can help, my email is seanflynn1970@yahoo.co.uk and I have just added you to my msn messenger so if you can go on that, then great :)

Firstly, Yes I do know HTML and CSS quite well, but I'm new to PHP.
Secondly, You will not need £15,000. hat you want to do could be acomplished with a few hundred £ :)
Do you just want a site liek this or somethign much bigger with loads more things to do?

P.S. Im only 15 and I want to start to build up a 'portfolio'. Therefor; if I do set up a site for you I can do it for practically nothing! ;)

Hi,
So you want this:
- A page about you.
- A page where people can send you an email.
- A Tag-Board / Forum
If thats correct then the biggest probblem you have is creating a design, which generally speaking is pretty easy.
I'm not great at design so If you know of someone who is, you might want them to do it. If not, I can have a go.
As for the tagboard/forum. A tag board like at http://www.tag-board.com/ will cost 20 US Dollars for all the features. Or you can ahve a more basic versio for free.
Alternatively, you could have one fo 3 forums.
1. VBulletin (http://www.vbulletin.com/). This site is VBulletin. Deffinately the best forum, but costs money.
Either 160 US Dollars to be able to use it for ever, or pay 85 US Dollars every year.
2. InvisionPowerBoard (http://www.invisionboard.com/). The next best thing after VB. Comes free with most hosting packages. I hear it can be almost as good as VB with some hacks (extra bits you download and add on.) and stuff.
3. phpBB (http://www.phpbb.com/).
Comes free with most hosting packages. I have heard a lot of negative stuff on this lately. Apparently it takes up more space and more bandwidth than IPB...
So, let me know what you want out of those and what sort of design you want.
Maybe you could find another site with a similar look that you can point me to.

If thats what you want then let me know what colours you want for:
text, links, links you have already clicked, the border of each 'box' the background colour of each 'box'.
I will also need to know what sort of thing you want for a banner...
Also, I couldn't have it up for Monday because I'm busy this weekend and I can only ever get on for about 1 and a half hours max each day anyway... If we say a week monday, the 11th?
As for money, even a total professional who has been doing this for years would not charge £400. Not even if you gave him/her 20 mins to do it.
And since your such a nice guy, I'm not gonna fleece you.
I'm going to give you an estimate of £70 - £100. (Plus any charges for the hosting, domain and forum/tag-board...)
So, which board/forum do you want?
What domain do you want (ie www.my-web-site.com)?
And if you in the uk, you will want UK hosting?

So, you see, If I wasn't so nice, I could be £15,000 richer... Or £400 at least!
