Hi,
I'm a real newbie at this and I'm having difficulty with something.
How do you place an active animated gif on your website?
I just use Word saved as html for my pages and when I place a gif on the page obviously it just stays as a static, single frame. When I host the gif at imageshack and then type in the url on my Word page I just get the typed url on my webpage!
How do you do that? I felt like it would be cake, I'm sure it is cake but I just can't figure it
Appreciate your time,
Rischen

open up your html file >
find where it reffers to the static image >
change it to this:
<img src=/imagelocation/image.gif border=0>

Thank you.
So much becomes clear now. Soon I'll be editing directly from notepad.
And I don't really need to host gifs and stuff to imageshack now that I've got a web host do I? I just point the img src in notepad to where the gif is in my own computer and then just make sure I also upload that file to my web host when I send the page up. Or just keep everything in the same folder and send the whole thing up and make sure the main page is called index.htm . Am I on the right track?
Thanks a ton there, Arestia.

After that I guess I'll make a huge site about the best car in the world -- the Mercedes Maclaren F1.
