New to income on sites

Most of you know that post 3-4 times a day, about www.outpostgamers.com
The site is coming along great, but theres that question... How to pay for it.
I know about google and adhearus, and fastclick and all of those. But could any of you give me a good idea of maximizing revenue from my site(s) ?

I think you should focus on adverts (adsense or paid links) first. When you site gains momentum, go for affiliates, paid memberships, etc.

I'm no expert myself...

from my experience the highest paying is paid text links/adverts...its working quite nicely for me

if you can get a good enough amount of traffic you can always sell ad space.
but that may take a while

I think for smaller sites like ours, PR is more important. Other webmasters will buy links to increase their own PR. So, maybe you can get lotsa links to boost your PR first?

Wow, Im liking the looks of google adsense, I made 1 dollar in a day!! WOO HOO!! With only 200 page views, when i hit 3000 a day, who knows how much ill make.

Good for you. I think you should be able to get on average 2-3% clickthrough rates so you can roughly guess how much you will make if you average out the CPM in your Google Adsense report...

google is great for small to medium sized sites however if you want to make some serious money selling adverts is the best way...For example for every month adsense is making me money I get roughly 3 times as much from selling ad placements etc

I have been looking into Pay Per Impression programs...
That could work in my favor... I will (once my site is up and has been accepted) try out PPC and PPI and see what earns me the most...

I still say Adsense is the best for start sites - when your site is established and you've got good PR and traffic, go for ad sales.

Yah, I am trying to go big with this site. The only thing im worried bout is my age. It must be a secret. Im adding more and more things on it to make it more interactive, like polls for instance.

Sorry to say this... I definitely would not post my age on a website that I intend to make money off if I were only 13 - somehow there's just no credibility - again, I know this may be a little hard to swallow but hey, that's life....

I guess it's a little better in the Internet (I'm joining a forum owned by a kid and filled with kids - but in real life???? I don't know man...)
