At the present, LINK REMOVED is searching for talented and experienced writers and graphic artists who would like to gain both exposure and experience as part of the fresh and innovative new site coming October 24, 2004. Our goal is to provide concise, non-biased coverage on the fast-moving technological and video game industry to viewers from around the globe.
Before applying, keep the following essentials in mind:
-Adequate knowledge of the English language,
-Strong commitment as a staff member, and
-Good faith towards the site and its members.
*Living in continental North America and being at least 16 years of age is a bonus.
If accepted, we will send you a free 1-year digital subscription to Electronic Gaming Monthly after a week of employment. Assets will be made available in the future to supplement senior editors.
The following is a list of all available positions:
Editor - Main role is to produce previews and/or reviews from sources such as websites, press releases, demos, magazines, trailers, and video games. Must conform to our article structure.
Sections: Nintendo (DS & GCN2), Sony (PSP & PS3), Microsoft (XBX2), and Technology
Amount: At least one article per month or whenever sources are made available to you.
Columnist - Write on a topic of your choice relating to either the technological or gaming industry. Opinion based articles permitted.
Amount: Weekly, semi-monthly, monthly
Poll Editor - From a given poll question (you may have to create your own), write a few witty & non-biased paragraphs of the topic chosen. Basically, turn it into something interesting and debatable.
Sections: Nintendo (DS & GCN2), Sony (PSP & PS3), Microsoft (XBX2), Technology, and Site-Related
Amount: Semi-Weekly, monthly
News Editor - From sources such as internet and press releases, write and summarize the article into your own words.
Sections: Nintendo (DS & GCN2), Sony (PSP & PS3), Microsoft (XBX2), and Technology
Amount: Every second day to daily
Graphic Artists - Main task is to create wallpapers at least 1024x768 in size. Wallpapers not neccessarily required to be related to technology or video games, and maybe even be abstract. Our site's logo is required on the completed product. You may place your own logo/company/website/name/email on the finished product but it may not be allowed to distract away from the NextGenWorld logo.
