htaccess stuff

basically id like to know a bit more about htaccess files...

Now I know what they are and what they do and I also know some simple disallow techniques with them but id like to know a bit more...

For example how to redirect and how to set the dir index

Anyone know of a tutorial on this?

yea i want to know more too.. i dont know anything about .htacces and that stuff,
i do know some scripts are using .htacces
any1 can explain me or can tell me where i can get information about it? i'l realy dont know where to search for :S

yer I got it to work for www.freewebsrus.com/resources/ yet nothing else I don't get it. First you got to enable mod_rewrite (your host does that) then make a file...with...erm...I dunno lol I only remember the first part :P
