New Site

I want to start workin on a new web site. I want a site that can grow into a large community. I was kinda thinking a gaming site but i already have a site about a game (which im already bored with).
Or a webmaster site not like dev dreams with all the tutorials,scripts, and waht not. But just a forum.
But i would rather do a site about neither of these two things. i just cant think of anything. Does ne1 have any ideas for a new site?

PS ya i kno i post a similar message every 2 months or so.

coming up with ideas for a site is very hard. the idea for this site was just an accident. firstly i came up with the word developer and at the time i was on www.tech-dreams.com so i just came up with www.devdreams.com lol

just write down a list of your favourite subjects. then narrow it down taking two ideas off each time. you will end up with the best idea.

and just to let you know, large communities take a while to develop. for example it will probably atke about a year until this forum is getting new memberships daily. it takes ages, lol

ya i know it will take a while but i want a site that has potential to grow unlike GranTurismoPlanet(peice of junk site)

since when was granturismoplanet a piece of junk? every site starts somewhere. even the sites which i do start off with hardly any visits. dev dreams has been the only site where it has become succesful within its first month

that compared to some of the sites ive made is brilliant. trust me ive made some bad sites in the past.

ive gone all the way from a small one page site which had a black background and was full of copied text all the way to www.devdreams.com and www.pythondesigns.net

Practice and you will get better and better!

its not about knowing html, its about thinking of good designs and ideas for layouts.

that is true. Which im terrible at but like u said all i need to do is practice.
but bak to the question. DO you guys have any ideas for a site that you wouldn't mind sharing?

well i do have some ideas for sites but theyre not amazing.

im going to create a new gaming site which will have clan stuff, online games, cheats, walkthroughs etc.

im also working on some more webmaster sites.

well ive finally decided on what to do.
Im going to expand my empire( extremely small empire ) into other racing games. The game im goin to make my next site about will be Need For Speed Under Ground from EA.
I already have a template which u may have seen in another catagory.
I have a good domain name picked out too

oh one more idea virtual city with everything a real city has including crime , cops, fuel prices , pollution ect
