where to advertise?

as you may or may not know ive started a music website www.ukhard house.info (without the space i just dont want this to turn up in the serps)

wheres the best place to advertise my site and get members?
preferably for free

i have about 15 members in 2 weeks which i suppose is a start but it got them in the 1st week and its kinda slowed down now

so any help/advice etc, i have put my link in my signature on some similar foums that i made 1 or 2 posts on, i dont mind link/banner exchanges but i suppose this could have the revers effect and lose the few people i do have.

getting members to a new site is always hard and I found that advertising doesnt seem to work too good.

It just takes time and promoting the forum/site whenever you can
