Will Google Penalize a 301 Redirect Site As Being Duplicate Content?

As I mentioned in another post, this forum has our former name, DevDreams.com 301 redirecting to WebmasterPost.com

Does anyone know if Google may penalize us for having duplicate content because we're running a 301 redirect? I've heard some say that may happen.
